ERW Steel Pipe
High-frequency electric-resistance welded pipe for small and medium diameters with consistent wall thickness.
ProductAPI 5LISO 3183ASTM A53

Overview
ERW pipe is cold-formed from steel coil and welded longitudinally by high-frequency electric resistance, without filler metal. The seam is heat treated and inspected in line, giving pipe with consistent wall thickness and good surface finish for distribution networks, gathering lines and general process piping.
Key characteristics
- Longitudinal high-frequency weld without filler metal
- Seam heat treatment and in-line ultrasonic inspection
- Consistent wall thickness and straightness
- Cost-effective in small and medium diameters
Applications
- Gas and water distribution networks
- Oil and gas gathering lines
- Process and utility piping
- Structural and mechanical uses
Used in Oil & Gas, Pipeline Infrastructure, Water & Desalination and Petrochemical & Process.
