3LPE Pipeline Coating
Three-layer polyethylene — FBE primer, copolymer adhesive and polyethylene topcoat — for buried pipelines.
ProductISO 21809-1DIN 30670

Overview
3LPE combines the adhesion and corrosion resistance of fusion-bonded epoxy with the mechanical toughness of polyethylene. Epoxy is applied to a blast-cleaned, heated pipe, followed by a copolymer adhesive and an extruded polyethylene layer, forming a robust barrier for buried onshore and offshore lines.
Key characteristics
- FBE primer bonded to blast-cleaned steel
- Copolymer adhesive tie layer
- Extruded polyethylene outer layer for impact and abrasion resistance
- Compatible with cathodic protection
Applications
- Buried oil and gas transmission lines
- Water transmission pipelines
- River crossings and offshore lines
Used in Oil & Gas, Pipeline Infrastructure and Water & Desalination.
