Fusion Bonded Epoxy
Thermosetting epoxy powder for pipeline corrosion protection and general industrial coating.
ProductISO 21809-2AWWA C213

Overview
FBE is an epoxy powder applied electrostatically to a heated, blast-cleaned surface, where it melts, flows and cures into a tightly bonded film. It is used as a single-layer pipeline coating, as the primer in three-layer systems and — in dual-layer form with an abrasion-resistant overlay — for directional drilling and bored crossings.
Key characteristics
- Strong adhesion to blast-cleaned steel
- Resistant to cathodic disbondment
- Single-layer, dual-layer and primer grades
- Also used on rebar, valves and fittings
Applications
- Pipeline external coating
- Primer for 3LPE and 3LPP systems
- HDD and bored crossings (dual-layer)
- Valves, fittings and reinforcing bar
Used in Oil & Gas, Pipeline Infrastructure, Industrial Manufacturing and Coatings & Polymers.
